03 / PRECISION ENGINEERING

Every contour. A considered decision.

An application-led approach to titanium profiling. Abrasive waterjet can avoid a thermal heat-affected zone, but accuracy, taper, contamination and finishing still require a validated process.

01 / TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE

Reference process envelope

60–90k PSI is an indicative industry waterjet pressure range. Pressure alone does not determine cutting performance. Thickness, speed, abrasive, nozzle condition and edge requirements govern the qualified envelope.

02 / TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE

Design for the next operation

Specify drawing revision, dimensional tolerances, grain direction, edge allowance and post-cut finishing. Do not assume waterjet alone delivers a final fatigue-critical surface.

03 / TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE

Retain the material identity

Nest against a released lot, retain remnant identity and verify dimensions before release. Submit your material grade, thickness, CAD requirements and quantity for technical review.
