01 / MATERIAL INTELLIGENCE

Extraordinary performance. Elemental beginnings.

Choosing titanium starts with the application. Compare the grade, product form and service conditions, then define the testing and documentation your project needs.

01 / TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE

From minerals to TiO₂

Ilmenite and rutile are mineral feedstocks. Beneficiation and oxide preparation precede metal reduction. FFC Cambridge is an electrochemical reduction route—not a mining method.

02 / TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE

Commercially pure titanium

Grades 1–4 balance strength, ductility and corrosion resistance through controlled chemistry. Grade selection must follow service conditions and the applicable product specification.

03 / TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE

Engineered alloys

Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5) and ELI variants have different chemistry and qualification needs. A grade name alone does not establish aerospace or implant suitability.
